Armand Bayou Nature Center

This is the best place to get outside in Pasadena! You can hike along miles of trails at your own pace, and enjoy various lookouts and viewing platforms to observe local wildlife. You can rent kayaks to get out on the water, and attend one of the dozens of events held throughout the year.

A few event highlights include firefly hikes in the evening, photography and meditation workshops, family painting days, and even bayou blacksmithing.

If you want to end your day with live music, head to Hometown Opry.

Strawberry Water Park

After spending the morning at the space and flight museums, head to the waterpark to cool off. This park is open from May through July and includes a lazy river, slides, and splash pads. Kids of all ages can have fun, while parents relax in the refreshing water.
