The ‘Bold’ Brand Story

We are incredibly proud of our Visit Pasadena, Texas, logo and are thrilled that the design came from the local community. We love sharing the story of how this logo came to be.
Our story begins with a partnership with Stacy Havner, a graphic design teacher at the Pasadena Independent School District. She invited students to design and pitch logo concepts for Visit Pasadena. After we shared the design specs and branding colors, the students got to work, and the results were nothing short of inspiring. We visited the high school, and students presented their designs and creative processes. Witnessing the passion, talent, and dedication of these young creatives was an unforgettable experience.

The winning design was created by Eric Barrera, an incredibly talented 11th grader at Pasadena Memorial High School. We are proud of Eric’s work. It stood out for its originality, relevance, and strong visual impact, and we have no doubt that he has a bright future ahead.
This connection with Eric and the graphic design students at Pasadena Memorial High School was made possible by Zeek Garcia, CTE Business Partner Coordinator for the PISD Career & Technical Education Program. The PISD CTE program is a powerful pathway to student success. Currently, 11,499 students are enrolled, with 170 dedicated teachers and 26 programs of study, which offer hands-on, real-world learning experiences. These prepare students for high-demand careers and postsecondary education.
Thank you to all the students who participated and the teachers who supported them. Your participation shows how strong the Pasadena community can be!
