ABOUT

Pasadena MuralFest is a celebration of art, culture, and community that brings together local muralists, musicians, small businesses, and residents in the heart of historic Shaw Avenue. Building on Visit Pasadena’s summer Art Walk series, MuralFest gives artists a platform to create, connect, and share the stories of Pasadena through public art while inviting the community to experience the creativity, culture, and local pride that make Pasadena unique.

Mission

To celebrate and support local artists while using public art to strengthen community connections, showcase Pasadena’s diverse stories and culture, and create vibrant spaces where people come together.

Vision

To establish Pasadena MuralFest as an annual signature event that grows Pasadena’s public art landscape, supports local creatives and businesses, and transforms historic Shaw Avenue into a vibrant destination for art, culture, and community.

HOW IT STARTED

This summer, Visit Pasadena partnered with Texas Markets and local artists David Maldonado and Adrian Avila to put on several “Pasadena Artwalks” which led to the creation of MuralFest. Watch full interview

Pasadena MuralFest will be held Saturday, October 24 from 11am to 6pm along Historic Shaw Avenue - 112 W. Shaw Ave, Pasadena, TX.

A big block party! You will be able to watch the muralists put their final touches on their murals at different buildings along Shaw Ave. There will be food trucks, live music, games, classic cars and motorcycles, a pumpkin patch and fun for the whole family. This is an outdoor event and will be held rain or shine.

Please refer to the event map for guidance on parking.

Bring comfortable shoes to walk the block, a lawn chair if you want to sit and enjoy the live music and live mural creation.
